Coll de Jou

Located at approx. 25 km in the inland of L’Hospitalet, Coll de Jou is an impressive mountain that rises over 850m over sea level and offers hikers a spectacular view over the underlying planes and hills all the way to the sea. The Coll de Jou is part of the mountain ranges of Llaberia. Wind and rain have sculpted the rocks into amazingly beautiful shapes. Mountain summits reach over thousands meters and then plunge into deep ravines. Enjoy the hike in the untouched Mediterranean forest, among the harsh grey cliffs and imposing rocks, far away from the noise and bustle of modern civilization. The hiker who does not shy away from the steep and craggy final ascent will be rewarded with a breathtaking 360º view! And aftwerwards, relax in one of the inviting little restaurants in the village of Coll de Jou.

Ideally, you may also combine a hike to the Coll de Jou with a tour of the Priorat region, see our suggestions online under Wine Tours.
